Staff Psychologist - RECRUITMENT/RELOCATION INCENTIVE, EDRP AVAILABLE

The Staff Psychologist provides a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusual cases. The psychologist conducts psychological evaluations, including diagnostic interviews, cognitive and personality assessments, and evidence-based psychotherapy interventions for individuals, groups, and families. The role involves developing, implementing, and documenting treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting interventions as needed. The psychologist collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, provides consultation to other healthcare professionals on psychological issues, and participates in treatment planning meetings. The psychologist may also provide crisis intervention services, including suicide risk assessments and management of acute psychological distress. Additionally, the psychologist engages in program evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, and may supervise psychology trainees, including interns and practicum students. The psychologist maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and professional standards. The psychologist may be assigned to various clinical settings within the medical center, including outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient units, or primary care mental health integration programs.

Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA, PCSAS, or CPA accredited program. Completion of an APA or CPA accredited professional psychology internship. Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. Non-licensed applicants may be appointed temporarily as a graduate psychologist for up to two years under supervision. Board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology is required for applicants whose internship was not accredited at the time of completion. United States citizenship required; non-citizens may be appointed only when qualified citizens are not available.
