The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Community Living Center (CLC) 213-5 is a registered nurse who provides leadership and oversight during the night shift. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic care to residents in a long-term care setting. The ANM collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, monitor patient outcomes, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include supervising nursing personnel, conducting performance evaluations, facilitating staff education, and addressing patient and family concerns. The ANM also participates in quality improvement initiatives, ensures safe medication administration, and promotes evidence-based practices. This position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment. The ANM works to foster a positive work culture, support staff development, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for veterans.

Basic Requirements: U.S. citizenship; English language proficiency; graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency (e.g., ACEN or CCNE) or completion of a master's level bridge program with equivalent coursework; current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Foreign nursing graduates must have a formal degree equivalency validation from a recognized evaluation service (e.g., International Consultants of Delaware). Grade Determinations: Nurse I, Level I: Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing with no additional experience. Nurse I, Level II: ADN or Diploma plus 1 year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I, Level I, or a BSN with no additional experience. Nurse I, Level III: ADN or Diploma plus 2 years of professional nursing experience (1 year equivalent to Nurse I, Level II), or BSN plus 1 year of experience, or MSN with no experience, or master's in a related field with BSN and no experience. Nurse II: BSN plus 2 years of professional nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I, Level III, or MSN plus 1 year of specialized experience, or master's in a related field with BSN plus 1 year of experience, or doctoral degree in nursing with no experience, or doctoral degree in a related field with BSN and no experience. Nurse III: MSN plus 2 years of specialized nursing experience (1 year equivalent to Nurse II), or master's in a related field with BSN plus 2 years of experience, or doctoral degree in nursing plus 1 year of experience, or doctoral degree in a related field with BSN plus 1 year of experience. Preferred Experience: Previous leadership or management experience in a long-term care or community living center setting; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
