Perfusionist

As a Perfusionist at Scott & White Memorial Hospital, you will be responsible for operating extracorporeal circulation equipment, such as heart-lung machines, during cardiac and other surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass. Your duties will include:

Setting up and priming the heart-lung machine and associated equipment before surgery.

Monitoring the patient's physiological status during bypass, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and blood gas levels.

Adjusting the flow of blood, oxygen, and anesthetic gases to maintain adequate perfusion and oxygenation.
