Apprenti Frigoriste/Apprentice-Technician

As an Apprentice Technician (Frigoriste), you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings. Your primary responsibilities include assisting with the installation of new refrigeration equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters, and troubleshooting system malfunctions to identify and resolve issues. You will learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure proper system setup and compliance with safety standards. Additionally, you will support the team in conducting system tests, documenting service activities, and maintaining inventory of tools and parts. This role involves working in various environments, including warehouses, cold storage facilities, and building mechanical rooms, and requires adherence to all safety protocols and regulations. You will also participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction to develop technical skills in refrigeration theory, electrical systems, and diagnostic techniques. Collaboration with senior technicians and other team members is essential to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Prior experience in HVAC or refrigeration is a plus but not required.
