Apprentice lift mechanic

Under the supervision of a lift mechanic, the apprentice works on the maintenance, improvement, inspection, and repair of ski lifts. The role involves performing repairs required on lifts, working in heights, and ensuring compliance with the vision, values, policies, and company procedures, including the requirements of the Z98 standard and safety. The apprentice assists in troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting routine inspections, and documenting maintenance activities. They collaborate with the lift mechanic team to ensure safe and efficient lift operations, participate in preventive maintenance programs, and respond to emergency repairs as needed. The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, using hand and power tools, and adhering to strict safety protocols. The apprentice also supports the installation and removal of lift components, assists in testing and adjusting lift systems, and maintains a clean and organized work environment. They may be involved in training sessions to develop skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to ski lifts. The role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Interest in mechanics and working outdoors. Ability to work in heights and in various weather conditions. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous mechanical experience is a plus. Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
