Non-medical Clinical Counselor

Provide non-medical clinical counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups on family dynamics, parent-child interaction, couples' communication, adjustment to common personal and family issues, adjustment to military life, and psycho-educational training programs. Conduct assessments, triage, and referrals for difficult and serious cases involving at-risk behavior. Develop and implement treatment plans using evidence-based and trauma-informed counseling approaches. Coordinate safety planning and risk assessments for family violence situations.

Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, demonstrating: thorough knowledge of the CNIC Fleet and Family Support Program and military lifestyles; professional knowledge of laws and regulations governing child and spouse abuse and family violence; in
