Intern Commercial Banking Analyst

As an Intern Commercial Banking Analyst, you will act as a commercial credit analyst within the Commercial Banking team. Your primary responsibility is to conduct credit analyses of maturing loans in accordance with the Bank’s standards, and formulate recommendations that help guide decisions. You will structure credit applications in collaboration with senior team members, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Additionally, you will interpret financial information from clients, including financial statements and cash flow projections, to assess creditworthiness and risk. You will support entrepreneurs by analyzing their business needs and providing insights to facilitate lending decisions. Your role also involves monitoring existing loan portfolios, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions to mitigate risks. You will work closely with relationship managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient processing of credit requests. This internship provides hands-on experience in commercial banking, allowing you to develop analytical skills and a deep understanding of credit risk management.

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret financial information, including financial statements and cash flow analysis. Interest in supporting entrepreneurs and understanding business needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior internship or coursework in commercial banking or credit analysis is an asset.
