Apprentice Electrician - CCQ - MU2

The Apprentice Electrician - CCQ will support the electrical installation and commissioning of the Mesgi'g Ugju's'n 2 (MU2) Wind Project. Key responsibilities include performing tower wiring and grounding of towers and wind turbine foundations. The role involves working on-site in the unorganized territory of Rivière-Nouvelle, within the Avignon RCM. The electrician will assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems for wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Duties also include reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics; installing conduits, cables, and wiring; connecting electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, and control panels; and performing grounding and bonding tasks. The apprentice will work under the supervision of a journeyman electrician, following all relevant codes and regulations. Additional responsibilities may include troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting inspections, and documenting work progress. The position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and the ability to work in outdoor and remote environments, often at heights. The hiring date is April 2026.

Must be a registered Apprentice Electrician with the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ). Valid CCQ apprenticeship card. Previous experience in electrical construction, preferably in wind energy or industrial settings, is an asset. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards. Physical ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Willingness to work on-site in a remote location. Must express interest through their union association.
