Research Intern - Artificial Intelligence

As a Research Intern in Artificial Intelligence at Microsoft Research Asia, you will contribute to cutting-edge research projects that advance the state of the art in AI. To be successful in this role, you should have: - Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field. - Strong research background demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL, ICLR) or journals. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). - Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including supervised and unsupervised learning, optimization, and statistical modeling. - Experience with designing and conducting experiments, including data collection, preprocessing, and evaluation. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively about research questions. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting research findings. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Prior internship or research experience in AI-related fields is preferred. - Must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.
