Engineer-In-Training (Bilingual)

As an Engineer-In-Training (Bilingual), you will work in the telecommunications industry, focusing on the structural engineering aspects of tower and infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibilities include: - Performing structural analysis and design of telecommunication towers, mounts, and foundations using industry-standard software and manual calculations. - Reviewing and interpreting structural drawings, specifications, and site data to ensure compliance with applicable codes (e.g., TIA-222, AISC, ACI). - Conducting field inspections and site visits to verify existing conditions, collect data, and assess structural integrity. - Preparing detailed engineering reports, calculations, and documentation for internal and client use. - Collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to develop cost-effective and safe design solutions. - Communicating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies in both English and French (or other required languages) to clarify project requirements and resolve technical issues. - Assisting in the preparation of permit applications and responding to review comments. - Participating in continuous learning and professional development to progress toward professional engineering licensure. - Supporting project teams with drafting, modeling, and quality assurance tasks as needed. - Adhering to safety protocols and company standards while working in office and field environments.

Qualifications and requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution. - Eligibility for registration as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with a provincial or state engineering association. - Bilingual proficiency in English and French (or other specified languages) – both written and verbal communication skills are essential. - Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis. - Familiarity with structural design codes such as TIA-222, AISC, ACI, or equivalent. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, SAP2000, STAAD, or tower-specific programs) is preferred. - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights (tower climbing may be required). - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
