Safety Specialist Intern- Kobern-Gondorf (m/w/d)

As a Safety Specialist Intern at our Kobern-Gondorf fulfillment center, you will support the implementation and maintenance of safety programs to ensure a secure working environment. Your responsibilities include: - Conducting regular safety audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Assisting in the investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries, and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action plans. - Developing and delivering safety training sessions for employees on topics such as proper lifting techniques, emergency procedures, and hazard communication. - Collaborating with operations teams to integrate safety practices into daily workflows and promote a culture of safety awareness. - Analyzing safety data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce risks. - Supporting the implementation of safety policies and procedures in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations. - Participating in safety committee meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities. - Assisting with emergency response planning and drills to ensure readiness. - Providing guidance to employees on safe work practices and personal protective equipment use.

- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Basic knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EU directives). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken. - Previous internship or work experience in a safety-related role is a plus. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, warehouse environment.
