As an intern in the Cabin Structures and Systems department at Airbus Operations, you will support the development engineering team in various tasks related to aircraft cabin structures and systems. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the design, analysis, and testing of cabin components and systems, such as interior panels, overhead bins, galleys, and lavatories. You will work closely with experienced engineers to create and modify 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will participate in the preparation and execution of tests to validate the performance and durability of cabin structures, documenting results and contributing to technical reports. You will also support the team in conducting research on new materials and manufacturing processes to improve cabin system efficiency and weight reduction. Furthermore, you will assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during the development and production phases, collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. Your role will involve maintaining and updating technical documentation, such as design standards, test procedures, and engineering change notices. You will have the opportunity to attend team meetings and design reviews, where you can present your findings and contribute to decision-making processes. This internship provides a hands-on experience in a dynamic engineering environment, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges in the aerospace industry.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Strong interest in aircraft cabin structures and systems. Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) is preferred. Good understanding of engineering principles and materials science. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Proficient in English; German language skills are a plus. Previous internship or project experience in aerospace or automotive engineering is advantageous.
