As an intern at Ranovus, you will contribute to the development of next-generation data centre connectivity solutions. Your responsibilities will be tailored to your academic focus, whether completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis or gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic R&D environment. Key responsibilities include: - Assisting in the design, testing, and validation of fiber-optic communication components and systems. - Conducting experiments and simulations to support product development and performance optimization. - Analyzing data and documenting results to contribute to technical reports and project milestones. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams in engineering and research to solve complex technical challenges. - Participating in the development of prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrations. - Supporting the integration of new technologies into existing product lines. - Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards. - Presenting findings and progress updates to team members and supervisors. Qualifications and requirements: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field. - Strong academic record with coursework in optics, telecommunications, or semiconductor physics. - Basic understanding of fiber-optic communication principles and data centre networking. - Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) is a plus. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ for data analysis and simulation. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Fluent in English; German language skills are beneficial but not required. - Prior internship or project experience in a related technical field is preferred.
