As an intern in Medicinal Chemistry, you will contribute to the design and synthesis of novel compounds for drug discovery projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting multi-step organic synthesis to prepare target molecules and intermediates.
- Purifying and characterizing synthesized compounds using techniques such as column chromatography, HPLC, NMR, and mass spectrometry.
- Analyzing experimental data and documenting results in electronic lab notebooks.
- Collaborating with a team of medicinal chemists and scientists to optimize lead compounds.
- Participating in literature searches to identify new synthetic routes and methodologies.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Presenting research findings at team meetings and contributing to project discussions.
This internship provides hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art research environment, focusing on the practical application of organic chemistry to address therapeutic challenges.

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in organic chemistry, including knowledge of reaction mechanisms and synthetic strategies.
- Hands-on experience with standard laboratory techniques (e.g., TLC, flash chromatography, recrystallization).
- Familiarity with analytical instruments such as NMR, HPLC, and mass spectrometry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Prior research experience in an academic or industrial lab is preferred.
