Shoes Design Internship

As a Shoes Design Intern, you will support the design team in the creation and development of footwear collections. Your responsibilities include assisting in the research of trends, materials, and techniques to inspire new designs. You will participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for seasonal collections. You will help create technical sketches and specifications using design software, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the brand's aesthetic. You will collaborate with pattern makers and sample makers to develop prototypes, attending fittings and providing feedback on fit, comfort, and design details. You will maintain and organize design archives, including sketches, samples, and reference materials. You will assist in preparing presentation boards and materials for internal reviews and meetings. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as product development and merchandising, to ensure design feasibility and market relevance. You will support the team in daily administrative tasks related to design projects, such as scheduling, sample tracking, and communication with suppliers. You will stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in footwear design. You will contribute to the overall creative process, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team.

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a related field. Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skills in footwear design. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs. Knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and presentation skills. Passion for fashion and design, with a keen interest in luxury brands. Previous internship or work experience in footwear design is a plus. Must be available for a 6-month paid internship.
