Leather RTW Design internship

As a Leather RTW Design Intern, you will support the design team in the development of leather ready-to-wear collections. Your responsibilities include assisting with research and development of seasonal concepts, including trend analysis, fabric and material sourcing, and color palette creation. You will collaborate with pattern makers and sample makers to ensure design specifications are accurately translated into prototypes. Additionally, you will help prepare technical sketches, flat drawings, and specification sheets for production. You will participate in fittings, taking notes and updating designs based on feedback. You will also maintain the design studio, organize materials and samples, and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and managing sample inventory. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and production to ensure timely delivery of collections. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the creative process from initial concept to final product, gaining hands-on experience in the luxury fashion industry.

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Strong interest in leather goods and ready-to-wear design. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Knowledge of pattern making and garment construction. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills. Previous internship experience in fashion design is preferred but not required. Must be able to commit to a 6-month full-time internship.
