Prototypes Internship

As a Prototypes Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the development and assembly of prototype systems and components. Your primary duties include: - Assisting in the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype parts and assemblies using various tools and equipment. - Collaborating with engineering teams to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for prototype builds. - Performing hands-on assembly, wiring, and integration of mechanical and electrical components. - Conducting functional tests and inspections to validate prototype performance and identify issues. - Documenting build processes, test results, and modifications for future reference and continuous improvement. - Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. - Supporting the procurement of materials and components needed for prototype projects. - Participating in design reviews and providing feedback on manufacturability and assembly feasibility. - Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems during prototype development. - Contributing to the optimization of prototype manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.

To be successful in this role, you should have: - Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. - Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including reading technical drawings and schematics. - Hands-on experience with tools such as drills, saws, soldering irons, and multimeters. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is preferred. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly. - Prior internship or project experience in prototyping or manufacturing is a plus. - Familiarity with safety practices in a workshop or lab setting.
