Internship - Android Developer H/F

As an Android Developer Intern, you will contribute to the development of Netatmo's future connected products. Your primary responsibility is to program Android applications that communicate with Netatmo's smart devices, including the Weather Station, cameras, and the Thermostat by Starck. You will work at the heart of the digital revolution, helping to create tomorrow's connected objects. Your key responsibilities include: - Participating in the technical design of new products in close collaboration with the Embedded Software and Cloud teams. This involves contributing to architectural decisions and ensuring seamless integration between Android applications and hardware components. - Driving continuous improvement and consolidation of existing Android applications. You will analyze current codebases, identify areas for optimization, and implement enhancements to improve performance, stability, and user experience. - Developing and maintaining Android applications that interface with Netatmo's connected objects, ensuring reliable communication and data synchronization. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, from concept through to deployment. - Conducting testing and debugging to ensure application quality and reliability across different Android devices and versions. - Documenting technical designs, code changes, and development processes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance. - Staying updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development efficiency and application quality.

To be successful in this role, you should have: - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Strong programming skills in Java and/or Kotlin for Android development. - Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and common development tools. - Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating with backend services. - Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git. - Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Good communication skills in English (French is a plus but not required). - Previous experience with Android app development (personal projects, coursework, or internships) is highly desirable. - Familiarity with connected objects or IoT technologies is a plus.
