As a Tourism & Operations Intern, you will support the daily operations of our campervan rental services, ensuring a seamless experience for customers from booking to return. Your responsibilities include:
Customer Support: Assist customers with inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing information about rental options, booking modifications, and trip planning. Resolve issues related to reservations, vehicle availability, and on-road assistance.
Operations Coordination: Manage vehicle inventory, including check-in and check-out processes, vehicle inspections, and preparation for rentals. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all vehicles are road-ready and meet quality standards.
Booking Management: Process reservations through our digital platform, update availability calendars, and handle cancellations or changes. Monitor booking trends to optimize fleet utilization.
Logistics Support: Assist in planning and executing vehicle transfers between locations, ensuring timely delivery and pickup. Track vehicle locations and status using internal systems.
Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of rentals, customer feedback, and operational metrics. Generate reports on fleet performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with the tourism and operations teams to improve processes, implement new initiatives, and enhance the overall customer journey. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for service improvements.
On-Site Duties: Perform physical tasks such as cleaning and inspecting vehicles, assisting customers with loading/unloading luggage, and ensuring the rental lot is organized and safe.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with learning new software platforms.
- A customer-oriented mindset and problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to drive campervans (training provided).
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or operations is preferred but not required.
