EMC engineer Internship

As an EMC Engineer Intern, you will support the design and validation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for automotive electronic systems. Your responsibilities include: - Assist in planning and conducting EMC tests on electronic modules and systems according to automotive standards (e.g., CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 7637). - Prepare test setups, including wiring harnesses, load boxes, and measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with test specifications. - Perform pre-compliance and full-compliance EMC measurements in anechoic chambers and reverberation chambers. - Analyze test results, identify root causes of EMC failures, and propose design modifications (e.g., filtering, shielding, layout changes). - Collaborate with hardware and PCB layout engineers to review schematics and layouts for EMC optimization. - Document test procedures, results, and reports in a clear and organized manner. - Maintain and calibrate EMC test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and antennas. - Support the development of EMC simulation models using tools like CST or HFSS. - Participate in design reviews to ensure EMC requirements are integrated from early stages. - Stay updated on evolving EMC regulations and industry best practices. This internship provides hands-on experience in a global automotive supplier environment, focusing on real-world problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications and requirements: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. - Basic understanding of electromagnetic theory, circuit analysis, and signal integrity. - Familiarity with EMC standards (CISPR, ISO) and test methods is a plus. - Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers. - Proficiency in using simulation tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS) is preferred. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Prior internship or project experience in EMC or RF design is advantageous.
