Distribution Planner - Internship

As a Distribution Planner Intern at Tiffany & Co., you will support the distribution planning team in optimizing inventory flow and ensuring efficient product allocation across global markets. Your primary responsibilities include: Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring stock levels, analyzing demand forecasts, and coordinating replenishment strategies to maintain optimal inventory positions. You will work with data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to distribution plans. Order Processing: Support the processing of purchase orders and transfer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution. You will collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to track shipments and resolve any discrepancies. Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on inventory performance, fill rates, and distribution metrics. You will use Excel and other tools to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and present findings to senior planners. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with merchandising, supply chain, and retail teams to align distribution plans with sales strategies and promotional activities. You will participate in meetings to discuss inventory priorities and allocation decisions. Process Improvement: Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing distribution efficiency, such as automating manual processes or implementing new planning tools. You will document workflows and suggest best practices. Ad Hoc Support: Provide administrative assistance to the distribution planning team, including maintaining records, updating databases, and preparing presentation materials for management reviews.

To be successful in this internship, you should have: - Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization). - Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; French is a plus. - Basic understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management concepts. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Prior internship or coursework in distribution, logistics, or planning is preferred but not required.
