The workers will operate mechanized landscaping and irrigation equipment to transport, distribute, and install materials used in golf course renovation, landscaping, and maintenance projects. Specific tasks for which the equipment will be used include moving and placing sod, sand gravel, greens mix, irrigation materials, sprinklers components, and other landscaping supplies; preparing landscaped areas for irrigation installation; assisting with irrigation system installation; and maintaining golf course grounds and playing surfaces. The workers will use hand tools and power tools commonly utilized in landscaping and groundskeeping activities, including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, tampers, sod knives, string trimmers, and irrigation installation tools. The workers may, but will most likely not, operate the following equipment for the purpose of removing turf and preparing the ground for new sod installation and distributing landscaping materials throughout the property: Kubota RTV-X1140WL-A utility vehicle (25HP; operating weight 2,380-2,390 lbs.; payload capacity 1,600 lbs.); and Multiquip MTX60HD Mikasa Rammer with Honda GX100 engine (2.8 HP; operating weight 141 lbs.) used to compact soil and backfill around irrigation installations and landscaped areas. ***Original***
Performs various golf course renovation and landscaping tasks, including preparing landscaped and playing surface areas; prepares irrigation system components, glues/fuses connections and tie-ins; installs irrigation lines, wire, and sprinkler heads; utilizes hand tools to install drainage and irrigation tie-ins; spreads and lays materials such as grass seed, sod, greens mix, gravel, and sand; operates mechanized equipment to move and install materials. Laborers assist with the installation of golf course irrigation components. Workers will use landscaping and irrigation equipment, along with hand shovels and other hand tools, to level ground surfaces and prepare areas for irrigation, as needed.
