岗位职责

Dulac Oyster & Seafood, LLC needs forty (40) Seasonal Seafood Plant Workers to work in our oyster processing plant located at 4310 Grand Caillou Road, Houma, Louisiana 70363, in Terrebonne Parish, for our oyster season. Starting date: October 1, 2026, through June 1, 2027. Workers will work 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule. No overtime anticipated. Paid weekly. Duties: Workers will receive, sort, inspect, clean, process, shuck, package, and prepare oysters for commercial distribution. Workers will sort incoming live oysters by size, shell condition, color, quality, and marketability using grading tables, vibrating conveyors, shaking tables, or by hand. Selected workers will shuck oysters using oyster knives and other hand tools while maintaining product quality and minimizing waste. Workers will wash, scrub, rinse, and clean oysters and oyster shells using high-pressure water hoses, rotating drums, brushes, and other cleaning equipment to remove mud, algae, and debris. Workers will inspect, trim, rinse, and prepare oyster meat for packaging while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards. Workers will weigh, vacuum seal, package, ice, label, and prepare finished oyster products for shipment to restaurants, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and other commercial customers. Workers will load, unload, move, stack, and transport oysters, packaging materials, containers, ice, and supplies throughout the processing facility using hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and similar material-handling equipment. Workers will clean and sanitize workstations, conveyor systems, processing tables, tools, equipment, containers, and production areas throughout each workday. Workers must perform assigned duties in accordance with employer safety procedures and applicable food safety and sanitation requirements. Work is performed indoors in a cold, wet, and humid seafood processing plant environment and requires prolonged standing, repetitive hand movements, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling seafood products efficiently throughout the workday. All deductions from workers' paychecks required by law will be made. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The wage offered to H-2B workers, U.S. workers, and all other workers in corresponding employment will equal or exceed the highest applicable wage rate, including the prevailing wage or applicable Federal, State, or local minimum wage, as required by law. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths (3/4) of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period, as required by 20 CFR 655.20(f). H-2B workers will be reimbursed during the first workweek for all visa processing fees, border crossing fees, and other government-required fees, excluding passport fees, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(i). Transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker comes to work for the employer will be provided or reimbursed during the first workweek for H-2B workers and non-commuting U.S. workers, including meals and lodging where necessary, as required by 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(i). Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and daily subsistence to the place from which the worker originally departed to work for the employer or to the worker's next certified H-2B employer, where applicable, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(ii). The employer will not pay return transportation or subsistence for workers who voluntarily abandon employment or are terminated for cause consistent with applicable regulations.
