Position Title: Plant Utility Worker
Immediate Supervisors: Processing Plant Manager Fundamentals: Work Hours: 7:00AM – 3:30PM Monday- Friday Description:
The ability to work independently without continuous supervision
The utility worker is engaged in activities that support the Plant Managers and the Operators. Support activities include, but are not limited to: 1. Prepare cartons and bags
2. Pack products according to specified guidelines
3. Palletizing product / warehouse operations
4. Sort nuts using sorting machine to remove defects
5. Monitor machinery
6. Cleaning facility or performing tasks as specified by the plant manager
7. Equipment sanitization prior to start-up
8. General equipment and facilities upkeep during down time
9. Expect to participate in some plant start-up and shut down activities This job is also expected to engage in any other company-related tasks as deemed appropriate and assigned by Department Managers. These tasks may include manual labor. Details:
Utility worker must be prepared to have different work assignments on a regular – possibly hourly – basis. Much of the work can be repetitive in nature. Work conditions: Works indoor in the plant, in warm temperatures
Works outside the plant occasionally. Mental Demands:
Requires attention to detail, accuracy, and good judgement of quality standards. Physical Requirements.
1. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
2. Must be able to stand or walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods
3. Must be able to climb stair and ladders
4. Overall good health and stamina to sustain 8 hours of moderate to vigorous activity. Safety and Health Responsibilities:
