Internship Data Scientist

As an Internship Data Scientist, you will join the Advanced Analytics Global team, which serves as CRIF's Center of Excellence for AI, Data Science, and Data Engineering. Your primary responsibilities include: Data Analysis and Modeling: Assist in analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Support the development and validation of predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques. Algorithm Development: Collaborate with senior data scientists to design, implement, and test algorithms for credit scoring, risk assessment, and decision support systems. Data Preparation: Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data from various sources to ensure quality and suitability for analysis. Reporting and Visualization: Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings and model performance to stakeholders. Research and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science. Contribute to internal research projects and proof-of-concept initiatives. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, business analysts, and domain experts, to integrate data science solutions into production systems. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of methodologies, code, and results to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing. This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, international environment, focusing on real-world applications of data science in the financial and business services sectors.

To be successful in this role, you should have: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. - Strong foundational knowledge of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, neural networks). - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy). - Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and querying. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) is a plus. - Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark) is advantageous. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Italian is a plus. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Prior internship or project experience in data science or analytics is preferred but not required.
