The Internship Facility Specialist will operate within the Premises & Equipment (P&E) Office, reporting directly to the P&E Manager. The primary responsibility is to define and coordinate the maintenance plan for buildings and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and special installations, as well as internal services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all company facilities and equipment.
- Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, and special systems.
- Overseeing internal services such as cleaning, security, and space management.
- Liaising with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Monitoring and reporting on the condition of facilities and equipment, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assisting in budget preparation and cost control for facility-related expenses.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Supporting the P&E Manager in strategic planning for facility upgrades and renovations.
- Collaborating with other departments to address facility-related needs and issues.
- Participating in emergency response and business continuity planning related to facilities.
- Conducting regular site inspections to assess facility conditions and operational efficiency.
- Implementing best practices for energy management and sustainability within the facilities.
- Providing administrative support for the P&E office, including documentation and reporting.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Previous internship or work experience in facility management or a related area is a plus.
