Finance Analyst Trainee

The Finance Analyst Trainee will support the financial operations of the company by performing a variety of tasks related to financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement. Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management decision-making. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Data Management and Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Cost and Inventory Analysis: Analyze production costs, inventory levels, and supply chain expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with operations teams to monitor and control manufacturing costs. Internal Controls and Compliance: Assist in maintaining internal control procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as assigned. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including supply chain, sales, and operations, to gather financial data and provide insights. Support the finance team in daily tasks and contribute to team goals. Training and Development: Participate in structured training programs to develop skills in financial analysis, accounting principles, and business operations. Gain exposure to various aspects of the finance function within a global manufacturing environment.

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and requirements: - **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Recent graduates or those with up to 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply. - **Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. - **Knowledge**: Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial analysis techniques. Knowledge of cost accounting or manufacturing finance is a plus. - **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian. Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. - **Other**: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
