ACCOUNTING INTERN

As an Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment while supporting the finance team with daily operations. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with accounts payable and receivable processes, such as processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and managing payment schedules. You will also help maintain accurate financial records by entering transactions into the accounting system, verifying data for completeness and accuracy, and organizing supporting documentation for audits. In addition, you will support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial report generation. You will collaborate with team members to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and propose corrective actions. Other duties may include preparing expense reports, assisting with budget tracking, and responding to internal inquiries regarding financial transactions. You will also have the opportunity to learn about regulatory compliance by reviewing financial records against company policies and accounting standards. This role involves working closely with senior accountants to develop skills in financial analysis, reporting, and software tools such as Excel and accounting platforms. The internship is designed to provide meaningful work experience with strong supervision and a supportive environment, with potential for permanent employment for suitable candidates.

Currently pursuing a relevant degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a recent graduate. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Prior internship or coursework in accounting is preferred but not required.
