Cabinetmaking Apprenticeship

As a 2nd Year Cabinetmaking Apprentice, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of high-end custom cabinetry, built-in furniture, and bespoke joinery projects. Your responsibilities include assisting in the design and fabrication of custom cabinetry and furniture pieces, operating and maintaining woodworking machinery and hand tools, reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, selecting and preparing materials such as timber, veneers, and laminates, assembling and installing cabinets, furniture, and joinery on-site, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project timelines, collaborating with senior cabinetmakers and team members to achieve precise results, maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment, and contributing to continuous improvement in craftsmanship and efficiency. This role offers hands-on experience in a close-knit team dedicated to superior craftsmanship.

Applicants must be in their 2nd year of a Cabinetmaking Apprenticeship or have relevant industry experience if in their 1st year. Required qualifications include a genuine interest in cabinetmaking and woodworking, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ability to work effectively in a team environment, good communication skills, physical fitness for manual tasks and standing for extended periods, and a willingness to learn and follow instructions. Previous experience with woodworking tools and machinery is advantageous. A valid driver's license and reliable transport are preferred.
