The Role The primary function of the Client Advisor is to develop, cultivate and provide seamless support and service to UHNW clients, partnering with specialists and Senior Management to create business opportunities for Christie’s. Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to Recruit and bring-in new clients to bid in Christie’s auctions worldwide and consistently pro-actively sell property offered at auction and private sale. Work with Managing Director, Korea and APAC client strategy team to identify and filter potential clients, and develop these to become active buyers across Christie’s global sales. Work directly with the clients and their staff to cultivate all aspects of their relationship with Christie’s creating further business opportunities. Develop indepth engagement with all clients and their collection, anticipating and responding to their needs. Speak with knowledge and confidence on a variety of sales categories to maximise cross-selling across multiple buyer bases. Maintain client relationships whilst promoting other avenues of revenue – e.g. private sales, consignments – supporting clients where necessary alongside relevant departments. Provide the vital pre-sale, sale and post-sale support necessary to maintain constructive and successful client relationships. Work closely, efficiently and effectively with specialist departments, senior management, client strategy, international offices and internal support departments to best cultivate and serve the clients. Identify partnerships (events/clients/departments or outside companies) to create effective client engagement and business development opportunities for Christie’s. Support the operational duties such as setting up of events and preview in Korea. The Candidate Bachelor’s degree preferably art-related with minimum of 5 years experience in an art-related or luxury retail industry Stong English communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken Excellent client development skills and abililty to engage UHNW clients Team-player and ability to build strong working relationship with colleagues Strategic and creative thinking.
