The Apprenticeship Field Officer is responsible for promoting and delivering Australian Apprenticeship Support Services. This role focuses on generating apprenticeship commencements through business development and account management activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining business relationships with employers, apprentices, registered training organisations, schools, job network agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Fostering these relationships to ensure successful apprenticeship placements and ongoing support.
- Conducting outreach activities to identify and engage potential apprenticeship candidates and host employers.
- Managing a portfolio of accounts to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to streamline apprenticeship processes and improve service delivery.
- Providing guidance and information to apprentices and employers regarding program benefits, obligations, and available resources.
- Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators related to apprenticeship commencements and retention.
- Attending industry events, career fairs, and school presentations to promote apprenticeship opportunities.
- Resolving any conflicts or challenges that arise during the apprenticeship period to maintain positive relationships.
- Maintaining accurate records of interactions and outcomes in the organisation's database.

Qualifications and requirements for the Apprenticeship Field Officer role include:
- Proven experience in business development, account management, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within the vocational education or apprenticeship sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse groups, including employers, apprentices, and educational institutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a field-based role.
- Knowledge of Australian Apprenticeship Support Services and related government programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, human resources, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
