Job Summary: The Plumber is a critical member of the Facilities Maintenance team, responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems across Xanterra facilities in Yellowstone National Park. This full-time, year-round position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and sustainability. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment. Perform seasonal opening and closing of plumbing systems. Conduct plumbing assessments, preventive maintenance, and repair/replacement of fixtures, piping, pumps, water heaters, and related components. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and report work orders and maintenance activities. Safely operate tools and equipment required for plumbing tasks. Maintain a clean, safe, and cooperative work environment. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Work independently with minimal supervision; occasional overtime or night shifts may be required. Adhere to company sustainability and safety programs. Mentor and train less experienced maintenance staff. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of plumbing experience; valid plumbing license preferred. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing water, sewer, and fuel systems. Skilled in pipe threading, pro-press, soldering, and acetylene welding. Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and plumbing codes. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and proper use of PPE. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office). Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years. Must be at least 21 years old. Physical Requirements include: Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevations over 6,000 ft. Walk up to 0.5 miles over uneven terrain; climb stairs and ladders. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Perform heavy labor outdoors in all weather conditions. May require respiratory protection and compliance with facial hair restrictions.
