Graduate Environmental Consultant

As a Graduate Environmental Consultant at ERM, you will support the delivery of environmental consulting services to clients across various industries. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting environmental site assessments and audits to evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential environmental risks. You will assist in the preparation of environmental impact assessments, management plans, and technical reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines. Additionally, you will collect and analyze environmental data, such as soil, water, and air samples, using field equipment and laboratory techniques. You will collaborate with senior consultants to develop and implement sustainability strategies, including carbon footprint analysis, waste management, and resource efficiency initiatives. You will also participate in client meetings and stakeholder consultations, providing technical support and contributing to project proposals. Your role will involve staying current with environmental legislation and industry best practices to inform project recommendations. You will work on multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with engineers, scientists, and regulatory specialists to deliver integrated solutions. Furthermore, you will contribute to internal knowledge-sharing activities and training sessions to enhance team capabilities. This position offers opportunities to develop expertise in areas such as contaminated land management, environmental due diligence, and regulatory compliance. You will be expected to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workloads, and communicate effectively with team members and clients. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Valid driver's license. Prior internship or work experience in environmental consulting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards is a plus.
