Building Services Engineers, Designers & Modellers - Nationwide

As a Building Services Engineer, Designer, or Modeller, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Your primary duties will include: - Designing and developing building services systems, including mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) systems, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and client specifications. - Creating detailed models and drawings using industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360, and coordinating with architectural and structural teams to integrate services seamlessly. - Performing load calculations, energy modeling, and system simulations to optimize performance and sustainability. - Preparing technical reports, specifications, and documentation for tender submissions and construction phases. - Conducting site inspections and surveys to verify installation quality and resolve on-site engineering issues. - Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. - Mentoring junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and reviewing their work to maintain high standards. - Staying updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure designs are innovative and compliant. - For Lead Engineer roles, you will also be responsible for leading design teams, managing project resources, and contributing to business development activities such as preparing proposals and client presentations.

To be considered for this role, you must have: - A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). - For Intermediate roles: 3-5 years of experience in building services engineering, with proficiency in design and modeling software. - For Associate roles: 5-8 years of experience, with proven ability to manage projects and lead small teams. - For Lead Engineer roles: 8+ years of experience, with a track record of delivering complex projects and mentoring staff. - Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards (e.g., NCC, AS/NZS), and sustainability practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients. - Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software is essential; experience with energy modeling tools (e.g., IES, HAP) is highly desirable. - Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., CPEng, NER) is preferred for senior roles. - A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
