EPD/Sustainability Specialist

As an EPD/Sustainability Specialist, you will lead the coordination and delivery of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our products, supporting both internal teams and external customers in their low-carbon goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: - Managing the generation and maintenance of EPDs for a portfolio of products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 14025, EN 15804). - Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and marketing, to collect and verify data for EPD creation. - Analyzing product lifecycle data, including raw material sourcing, production processes, transportation, and end-of-life impacts, to calculate environmental metrics such as carbon footprint, energy use, and resource depletion. - Supporting external customers by providing EPD documentation and technical guidance on sustainability claims and low-carbon product options. - Monitoring regulatory and industry developments related to EPDs, sustainability reporting, and decarbonization to ensure organizational compliance and best practices. - Preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders on EPD progress, sustainability performance, and opportunities for improvement. - Assisting in the development of internal tools and processes to streamline EPD data collection and reporting. - Contributing to broader sustainability initiatives, such as carbon reduction strategies and circular economy projects, as needed.

To succeed in this role, you should have: - A bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field (recent graduates are welcome to apply). - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing complex data sets. - Basic understanding of lifecycle assessment (LCA) principles and environmental product declarations (EPDs) is preferred but not required. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external customers. - Passion for sustainability and decarbonization, with a desire to grow in the field.
