Transport - Administration Officer - Carole Park

As a Transport Administration Officer, you will be responsible for managing transport bookings, operational documentation, and reporting in a busy logistics environment. You will serve as a key contact for customers, drivers, and the operations team, ensuring freight movements are accurately recorded and documentation is maintained. Your duties include coordinating daily transport schedules, processing booking requests, and updating tracking systems to reflect real-time shipment status. You will prepare and distribute operational reports, including delivery confirmations, exception reports, and performance metrics. Additionally, you will handle customer inquiries regarding shipment status, resolve discrepancies in documentation, and liaise with drivers to confirm pickup and delivery times. You will maintain accurate records of freight movements, including proof of delivery and customs documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will also support the operations team in optimizing route planning and resource allocation by providing timely data and insights. This role requires someone who takes pride in accuracy, can manage competing priorities, and thrives in a fast-paced operational setting.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or administration is a plus. Proven experience in transport administration, logistics coordination, or a similar role. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using transport management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, drivers, and team members. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of freight documentation and compliance requirements is preferred.
