Transport - AM Allocator - Lytton

As an AM Transport Allocator at a major distribution facility in Lytton, you will be responsible for planning and allocating daily outbound freight movements to retail stores across Queensland. Your primary focus is ensuring all transport is scheduled, compliant, and executed to required service standards. Key responsibilities include: Outbound Freight Allocation: Plan and allocate daily outbound freight movements to retail stores across QLD, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Transport Scheduling: Coordinate with the distribution center team to schedule transport for freight loaded by the DC team, optimizing routes and resources. Compliance and Service Standards: Ensure all transport operations comply with regulatory requirements and meet service level agreements, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Communication and Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, including warehouse and logistics, as well as external transport providers, to resolve any issues and ensure smooth operations. Monitoring and Reporting: Track freight movements, monitor delivery performance, and report on key metrics to identify areas for improvement. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any transport-related issues, such as delays or capacity constraints, to minimize disruptions to store deliveries.

To be successful in this role, you will need: - Proven experience in transport allocation, logistics, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a distribution center environment. - Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. - Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements in Queensland. - Proficiency in using transport management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook). - Ability to work full-time on-site at the Lytton distribution facility. - A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail.
