As a Customer Service Executive in our freight forwarding team based in Sydney, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end customer service operations for international shipments. Your primary duties include:
- Handling customer inquiries and providing timely updates on shipment status, including tracking, documentation, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinating with internal departments such as operations, warehousing, and transportation to ensure seamless execution of freight movements.
- Processing and managing shipping documentation, including bills of lading, airway bills, customs declarations, and invoices.
- Resolving customer issues and complaints related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, shipment details, and service performance metrics.
- Collaborating with overseas agents and partners to facilitate smooth cross-border logistics.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting sales and business development teams by providing service-related information and quotes as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics customer service.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping processes, including air, sea, and road freight.
- Familiarity with customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using freight management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
