Transport - Transport Supervisor - Carole Park

The Transport Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and performance management of the Transport Allocator team to ensure the effective execution of all load planning and delivery operations. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to Allocators, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include: - Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Transport Allocator team, including shift scheduling, task allocation, and workload management. - Monitoring and managing load planning processes to optimize delivery routes, minimize costs, and meet customer service level agreements. - Conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and implementing development plans for team members. - Ensuring compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies. - Collaborating with other departments, such as warehouse and customer service, to resolve operational issues and improve workflow. - Analyzing transport data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. - Managing resource allocation, including vehicle and driver assignments, to maximize efficiency. - Handling escalated customer inquiries or complaints related to transport operations. - Maintaining accurate records of transport activities, incidents, and performance reports. - Participating in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new Allocators. - Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring all team members adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and requirements: - Proven experience in transport supervision or a similar role within the logistics or transport industry. - Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. - Knowledge of load planning, route optimization, and transport regulations. - Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred. - Experience with performance management and KPI tracking. - Flexibility to work onsite at Carole Park, including early morning shifts as required.
