岗位职责
As a Customs Broker, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the import and export of goods through customs clearance processes. Your primary duties include:
Customs Clearance: Prepare and submit customs documentation, including entries, bonds, and permits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws. Classify goods using the Harmonized System (HS) codes and determine applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding customs matters, providing guidance on documentation requirements, tariff classifications, and regulatory changes. Resolve any issues or delays in clearance promptly.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and import/export restrictions. Ensure all transactions adhere to local and international laws, including those related to prohibited or restricted goods.
Documentation Management: Review and verify accuracy of shipping documents, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. Maintain organized records for audits and reporting purposes.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve discrepancies, inspections, or holds by customs authorities. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other stakeholders to expedite clearance.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline customs processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery.
Reporting: Generate reports on clearance status, duty payments, and compliance metrics for management review.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- **Experience**: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Customs Broker in freight forwarding or logistics.
- **Licensing**: Valid Customs Broker license (Australian Customs Broker License preferred).
- **Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance. Familiarity with global logistics operations.
- **Skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction. Proficiency in customs software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- **Education**: Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is advantageous.
- **Attributes**: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
