TRANSPORT - AM ALLOCATOR - LYTTON

As an AM Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for planning and allocating daily outbound freight movements from a major distribution facility in Lytton to retail stores across Queensland. Your primary focus will be on ensuring all transport is scheduled, compliant, and executed efficiently to meet operational targets. Key responsibilities include: - Planning and coordinating daily outbound freight allocations to retail stores, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. - Scheduling transport resources, including trucks and drivers, to optimize load capacity and minimize costs. - Monitoring freight loading processes at the distribution centre to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. - Communicating with transport providers, warehouse teams, and retail store contacts to resolve any scheduling or delivery issues. - Maintaining accurate records of transport schedules, load manifests, and delivery confirmations. - Ensuring all transport activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines. - Identifying and addressing potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as delays or capacity constraints, to maintain service levels. - Collaborating with the wider transport and logistics team to improve allocation processes and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will need: - Previous experience in transport allocation, logistics coordination, or a similar role within a distribution centre or warehouse environment. - Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external transport providers. - Proficiency in using transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to transport and logistics. - Ability to work on-site full-time at the Lytton distribution facility. - A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail. - Flexibility to work morning shifts as required for the AM allocation schedule.
