KYC Intern

As a KYC Intern, you will support the Know Your Customer (KYC) operations team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your primary responsibilities include: Customer Due Diligence: Assist in reviewing and verifying customer identification documents, such as passports, proof of address, and corporate documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Screening and Monitoring: Conduct screening of customers against sanctions lists, politically exposed persons (PEP) lists, and adverse media using internal tools and databases. Flag any potential matches for further review. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of KYC files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible for audits. Communication: Liaise with customers to request additional information or clarification on submitted documents, ensuring a smooth onboarding process. Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to KYC workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on KYC activities, including pending cases, completion rates, and any issues encountered. Collaboration: Work closely with the compliance, risk, and operations teams to resolve any KYC-related issues or discrepancies. Ad-hoc Tasks: Support other compliance-related projects and tasks as assigned by the team lead or manager.

- Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field. - Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Prior internship or work experience in compliance, banking, or financial services is a plus. - Knowledge of KYC/AML regulations is advantageous but not required.
