A Lead Abatement Worker will be specializing in removing lead based paint and other materials on surfaces such as ceilings and walls in as low as 48 F to 98 F temperature. They will be using the wet scrape method and sometimes operating high pressure sprayers, sandblasters, paint brushes, paint rollers, and paint sprayers. Their responsibilities also include wearing protective gear and safely discarding materials. Aside from physical work, a Lead Abatement Worker usually has to climb high places, maintain records and train new workers. They work in a team setting for a more safe and efficient workflow.

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).

Prior experience in lead abatement, construction, or a related field is advantageous.

Knowledge of lead-safe work practices, including wet scrape methods and proper waste disposal.
