All furnace and boiler operation, maintenance, and repair for the building are handled by a third-party professional heating company. The employee's only related role is to check that occupied rooms reach the company's set temperature using the standard wall thermostats in those rooms, and to report any shortfall in heating or cooling to building management, who then arranges all service and repair through the professional company. The employee does not monitor, inspect, read gauges on, or assess the furnace or boiler itself and has no responsibility for the equipment's condition. The employee uses no tools, equipment, or machinery in connection with the furnace or boiler.
