Design, develop, and optimize mechanical and systems components for advanced manufacturing equipment
岗位职责
As a Junior/Manufacturing Design Engineer (Mechanical / Systems), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical and systems components for advanced manufacturing equipment. Your primary focus will be on creating robust, cost-effective designs that meet performance and reliability standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing mechanical subsystems, including structural frames, motion systems, and precision alignment mechanisms, using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
- Performing engineering analysis, such as finite element analysis (FEA), tolerance stack-ups, and thermal simulations, to validate design integrity.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and systems engineering) to integrate mechanical designs into complete manufacturing systems.
- Developing and testing prototypes, conducting design reviews, and iterating based on test results and feedback.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and design specifications.
- Supporting manufacturing processes by troubleshooting design issues, optimizing for assembly, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Contributing to system-level design decisions, including material selection, component sourcing, and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Assisting in the development of test plans and validation procedures to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
- Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering and manufacturing design.
申请条件
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering (internship experience acceptable).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, materials science, and thermodynamics.
- Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with systems engineering or integration is desirable but not required.
