Employee will pull formed boxes from the Box Former Machine, setting them on an empty box conveyer. Employees will maintain the packing lines stocked with box lids, packing paper, bags for pears, clips to seal bags in appropriately sized holding conveyors. Employees will cut open shook pallets and place cardboard in recycle bins. Employees will be assigned to clean facility such as sweeping pear leaves, extra access of packing paper on floor, cleaning tables, and picking up pears from the packing line floor. Employees will weigh containers of fruit, place packing supplies on the packing lines, place “socks” on fruit, assemble containers, repack and strip pack boxes of fruit, sticker containers, bags, and boxes. Employee perform fruit packing duties at the Diamond Odell & Central location. Almost all work is done at waist level. Employee places empty box on “horse” and with one hand takes fruit from belt and using other hand wraps and places into box until filled.
