Equipment Specialist

As an Equipment Specialist, you will serve in a developmental position within the Logistics Career Field, performing assignments designed to further develop analytical and evaluative skills and techniques. Your primary responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support a specified mission or program for initial acquisition. You will analyze equipment requirements, assess supply chain needs, and ensure the effective management of equipment resources. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics processes, conducting research to identify equipment specifications, and supporting the acquisition lifecycle from planning through implementation. You will also monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of logistical strategies that align with organizational goals. Additionally, you will prepare reports and documentation to support decision-making and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following criteria: A. Completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the undergraduate level. B. One full year (18 semester hours or equivalent) of graduate-level study, or possession of a master's or higher degree (e.g., LL.B, J.D., LL.M., Ph.D.) in a field that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work, such as logistics, business administration, or public administration. C. At least one year (12 months) of specialized work experience that involves planning, coordinating, or evaluating logistical actions required to support a specified mission or program for initial acquisition.
