The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect nursing care to residents and families across multiple care settings, including Acute Care Units, Intensive Care Units, Spinal Cord Units, Polytrauma Units, Community Living Center (CLC), Palliative Care/Hospice, and the Emergency Department. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering comprehensive nursing care to surgical and non-surgical veterans requiring inpatient admission or observation.

Providing patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.

Proficiency in basic written and spoken English, as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).

Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Coll
