Under the supervision of the supervisor, a construction laborer will perform ground-level site preparation and cleanup to support installation crews.
Duties include setting cones, barriers, caution tape, and tarps to establish safe work zones; clearing loose debris, obstacles, and hazards from work areas; marking and organizing designated staging and access areas; and ensuring ground-level spaces are properly prepared for installation activities.
Loading and unloading trucks with construction-related materials used on-site such as hand tools, power tools, ladders, tarps, safety barriers, buckets, fasteners, nails and screws, small equipment, and debris containers, and staging these materials and tools to designated ground-level areas for immediate use by installation crews, without involvement in warehouse or inventory operations.
Acting as a spotter for material lifts by assisting with the safe movement and placement of materials, collecting debris, scrap materials, trash, and packaging from the jobsite, using magnetic sweepers to remove nails and metal fragments, and performing general jobsite housekeeping, including sweeping work areas, organizing tools and materials, and maintaining clean, safe, and hazard-free walkways and work zones throughout the construction site.
