General Education and Training Specialist

The General Education and Training Specialist performs the full range of conventional duties related to a variety of education services programs. This role involves completing developmental assignments and training as outlined in a formal training and development plan. Key responsibilities include supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and training initiatives. The specialist coordinates with stakeholders to ensure program alignment with organizational goals, assists in developing instructional materials, and delivers training sessions to diverse audiences. Additionally, the role requires monitoring participant progress, collecting feedback, and making recommendations for program improvements. The specialist also maintains accurate records of training activities, prepares reports, and ensures compliance with relevant policies and standards. This position involves collaborating with team members to identify training needs and contribute to the continuous enhancement of education services.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service Programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills that translate directly to paid employment. Candidates should have experience in education or training settings, with demonstrated ability to perform conventional duties related to education services programs. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Familiarity with instructional design and program evaluation is preferred.
